IF I HAVE SEEN FURTHER IT IS BY STANDING ON THE SHOULDERS OF GIANTS.

Meet the coach

Hi I’m Britiany Troup, NBC-HWC, let me tell you a little bit about me and how I got to where I am now.

I’m from deep East Texas originally, after high school I went to college and spent several years trying to figure out what I wanted to be when I grew up. I spent about 6 years transferring around to different schools, taking out student loans and trying to make this whole college thing work. After some time and lots of debt I joined an ROTC program and shortly after earned a scholarship. Things were looking up when yet again I changed my major (a decision based on fear) and ended up setting into motion a life changing experience of going active duty enlisted rather than a commissioned officer. The next 4 years were spent overcoming all previous beliefs, doubts, and fears I had. I became a Healthcare Specialist assigned to the 4th infantry Division in a unit that deployed every other year historically. For some context here, I used to pass out at the site of my own blood…but, I became a medic, I deployed to Afghanistan in 2018, and came home to deal with the fall out of that deployment. This was when I realized I wanted to help people see that their lives are worth living.

I left the Army in 2020 and went back to school as the pandemic hit. During this time I was diagnosed with ADHD and PTSD which turned out to be the most liberating information I’ve ever received. Because I was finally able to find ways to manage and overcome barriers I didn’t even know were setting me back on my journey. I decided to study Lifestyle Medicine, with the hope of going back to Nursing school someday.

I graduated from Metropolitan State University at Denver with my Bachelor of Science in Lifestyle Medicine in May of 2022; and I became a Certified Health and Wellness coach in July of 2022. I built Beeable coaching to empower individuals to take back control of their own health and wellbeing in an affordable and accessible way.
